2015 ... January - March

The following 3 tiles I started during Christmas week, but finished out of order. I'd get stuck (probably because I was thinking too much) or inspired to add something to another tile I would start...

Tile #4

Completed:  2-10-2015
Tangles: jetties, isochor, flux, printemps, meer, hibred, allium

I have a new favorite...allium, so named because it reminded the creator of an onion.  Allium is the genus name for onion.  I like the boldness of it...and it still has curves.  :)

Tile #5

Completed:  1-25-2015
Tangles: jetties, isochor, tagh, printemps, hollibaugh, cubine

First time with a renaissance tile. Not sure if I like it or not, yet.  Tagh reminds me of fish scales.

Tile #6

Completed:  2-3-2015
Tangles: haley's hearts, stick weave, scena, crescent moons, shattuck, isochor

I have a new favorite...allium, so named because it reminded the creator of an onion.  Allium is the genus name for onion.  I like the boldness of it...and it still has curves.  :)

The rest of the tiles on this page found me a little more settled in my approach to tangling.  I actually finished a tile before starting another one.

Tile #7

Completed:  2-20-2015
Tangles: flux, printemps, isochor, meer, hibred, paradox, bead line

My dearest friend lost her Uncle Gus to cancer.  I prayed for her and the family as I created this tile.  My most zen moment!

Tile #8

Completed:  3-2-2015
Tangles: wandering rixties, ing, munchin

I really like the wandering rixties,..feels very Seuss-ical.  The biggest issue I had was figuring out when to stop.  This is the first one where I kept shading to a minimum.

Tile #9

Completed:  3-9-2015
Tangles: paradox, bead line, crescent moon, jetties, golven

Paradox is fun!  I could really focus on just drawing the lines.  I kind of had to, or I'd get lost and make a "whoops!"

Tile #10

Completed:  3-16-2015
Tangles: cubine, printemps, crescent moon, hibred, scena, flux, bead line, foot lites, punzel

Geez!  I really packed a lot into this one. I wanted to experiment with a letter...we might have been working on the letter "B" the day I started this.

Tile #11

Completed:  3-30-2015
Tangles: hollibaugh, flux, paradox, shattuck, cadent, meer, arukas, ing (I think)

I'm going to have to try a monotangle one day...not sure I could do it.  There are too many tangles out there.  I try (between classes) to teach myself one new tangle to incorporate...this time it is cadent.

I used a spiral type line to fill one area. I don't know if it has a name.  I just did it.  It could be a take on fescu, but I did this before I knew of that one.
