2015 ... July - September

Tile #18

Completed:  7-4-2015
Tangles: moocha, cubine, hibred

After coming back from shark week at the beach (literally), I was inspired by all the shell shapes I saw...so inspired that I didn't know where to start!  Lee helped me out by suggesting a spiral like a nautilus shell.  Thank you!  I tried to be a little simpler by sticking to only 3 tangles.  Moocha is a new one I've been practicing

Tile #19 ... My 1st
Diva Challenge #227

Completed:  7-23-2015
Tangles: cack, tropicana, fescu

Guest Blogger: Lee Darter

"For my guest challenge, create a tile using the tangles Cack by Adele Bruno and Tropicana by Kate Ahrens. Then just just like a 3 ring circus - chose from either Florz, Linq by Lara Williams or Fescu to add a third element to your design."

Tile #20
Diva Challenge #228

Completed:  7-30-2015
Tangles: Mr. E, blooms, diva dance, abundies

Guest Blogger: Cari Sultanik

"Whether you're outdoors-obsessed or indoors-indignant, you can enjoy THIS challenge which celebrates all things natural and organic. I've always been drawn to tangles that imitate nature, even though Zentangle is, of course, meant to be non-representational. I simply like the curved lines, the impression that tangles that "grow" make that bring tiles or ZIA pieces to life, and the colors that can be brought into the artwork that evoke feelings of joy and wonder. So, choose tangles that feel organic or natural to you and let's see what beauty you can grow! I can't wait to see what you all post!"

This was a challenge for me!
Even though I love wavy, curvy tangles,
I like to balance it with straight lines.
Now that it's completed,
the effort is worth it.  :)
